Right, so... A bit of a water issue we're having.

[Which isn't said so cheekily since, after all, she was enjoying the opportunity to have someting like actual plumbing in this place, okay. Chamber pots are not cool. Omega has entirely spoiled her. But that's not the point.]

Until there's a more permanent fix...I can help out.

[She's been apprehensive about simply outing herself to too many people about her powers, but this is an emergency.]

Here. [She lifts a hand and there's a blue light surrounding it. Flinging her hand to the side, she casts at a bucket she's procured, freezing the space inside of it.] And just wait, I'm not done. [This time, she steps over to the bucket and casts fire, albeit carefully, until the ice has been melted into nothing but water.]

There. I can try to manage as much as is necessary, but I might get winded after a while. Emergencies come first [since some of you are amphibians and such] and then everything else after it.

[hello, omega. here is a member of a mercenary group that has, up until now, made themselves very scarce. but they have been watching as all of these new arrivals appear on the station, so if you might be thinking that they aren't up to speed on what's been going on? you are sadly mistaken.

case in point, he peers into his omni-tool and addresses the network about a recent development. it's all business, here.]
As you may have noticed, the systems that regulate the districts’ water supply have gone offline. We aren't sure how this happened, but we’re currently working on fixing it. Now, for those of you that make use of such a thing, that means no showers, no plumbing, no running water of any kind. And since we're pretty sure that Aria doesn't want to smell any of you? We're going to get this resolved as quickly as we can.

[there's a pause, and then:] Try not to break anything else while you're here.

[The video feed opens up to Isabela and a krogan already in the middle of a drinking competition, each having their own line of shot glasses in front of them. There’s an asari dancer seated between the two of them, either acting as a bemused audience or as a judge.

The voice that comes over the audio side isn’t from the pirate on screen, however, but from a different woman who’s holding the camera. Some may recognize the voice of one Kasumi Goto.
]

Shame we’re too late to find sponsors to hit the competitive circuit. There’s a market for this kind of blatant disregard for personal safety out there somewhere, I can taste it.

[Both are nearly done with their line of drinks when Isabela says something drunkenly cocky and reaches forward to grab at the krogan’s last shot. The asari dancer stands up to grab at Isabela’s wrist because Bela that’s ryncol don’t be stupid, but she misses and the pirate accidentally knocks the glass over and it lands in the krogan’s lap.]

I’m predicting a fan site. Maybe a t-shirt line. Stinks I’m done with the corporate gig. Just too much small print on those deals.

[The dancer now flees the scene as the krogan flips the table over with a loud CRASH in drunken competitive agitation. Bela’s reaching for the daggers at her back as the krogan looks about ready to charge her.

This part of Afterlife is bound to get trashed shortly, and possibly Isabela WOOPS...
]

And that’s my cue. Catch us next week, kids.

[And with that the video feed cuts as Kasumi enters stealth mode and leaves Bela to her fate. Kasumi replies will be once she’s out of damage range, and Bela’s when she’s done escaping. Also open for action threads in the bar!]

[Ashlynn was a quick learner, but even with her experience using the Sanctuary map she was having difficulty using the Omni Tool for anything other than browsing the vids others put out. She hadn't found a map of the station - surely there had to be one! - nor had she found any easy to follow directories of business and where to find them on the glowing orange artifact. The few people she'd asked had told her to look there for it and she was rather embarrassed to admit she was still completely stumped on this.

She hoped she could make her first address sound like she wasn't so lost and confused as to sound like an extraordinary dunce.]

Hello. I have only just arrived a few days ago and while I was shown to the Zeta District to choose my lodgings and gain some employment, I have not had success in finding the location of any financial institutions or a-

[She had to pause for a moment to cough into her hand. It was not a very healthy sound and was, in fact, rather pained.]

Ahem. A pawn broker. I have some bits and bobs I'd like to sell and some currency to exchange if I am able. Thank you.

[The feed was ended as another coughing fit over-took her.]

[ooc: If anyone would like to run into her in person, Ashlynn is hanging out near a small food shop located between neighborhoods and near to the 'entrance' of Zeta District - the 'entrance' that most shuttles will drop you off at if you don't give a specific location within the district.]

[Salarians are far from uncommon on Omega. This one, however, is a new face around these parts. The only clue to his current location thus far is the dingy looking wall behind him. Could be anywhere, the walls all look like shit.

Considering the slight hint of irritation in his voice, it's very likely that this salarian is so far not enjoying his stay here.]

Judging by what I've heard, it would seem that I'm not the only one who has no idea why they've arrived on this station. I also seem to have lost track of a small group of salarians. The locals so far have been less than helpful. If anyone has more information regarding either situation, I'd certainly like to hear it.

[he pauses for a moment and takes a quick glance around. Satisfied with whatever he finds (that being nothing), he turns his attention back to his omni-tool]

My name is Kirrahe. Regretfully, for the time being the only thing I have to offer in exchange for information is my gratitude.

[after a quick nod, he cuts the feed.]

[[ooc: in reality he hasn't even wormed his way out of the docking bay yet. Action tags are welcome to anyone who feels like stumbling across a salarian /o/]]
