[With everything that has been going down over the last week, Haruto is not particularly thrilled. It doesn't help that he sort of considers himself Omega's unofficial protector at this point, what with all of the civilians he helped out during the fire and sealing everything off, despite not having his water magic.

Aria's message to the network had gotten a reaction out of him as well, though he knows better than to try and stand up to her directly. So he settles for addressing the network on his own, as he'd been meaning to for awhile anyway.

When the video starts, he looks the same as always, though a little more serious.]

Even though I don't fully understand what's going on, I know things have been getting worse lately. I heard about the attack that happened before I arrived. Then the assassinations, the fires, the creatures that were running rampant. Now, Omega's in an uproar over this latest news.

Big things are happening, but I want all of you to know that I'm going to do whatever I can to keep you safe. If you can't defend yourself, tell me. I will protect you. I don't know why I was brought here, but I'm making this my purpose. Let me be your hope.

[So. Those monkeys have been okay to deal with so far, other than the fact that they keep trying to steal his rings. They were easy enough to get rid of and Haruto's been dealing with the water issue, even though he's not all that thrilled about it. At the very least, he hasn't had a need to use his magic very much, so he hasn't needed to track down an excessive amount of food to refill his mana.

When the video starts, he's looking just as positive as ever. Really, does nothing bother this guy? At least he seems to have the video function figured out now, the residential district visible behind him.]

Water problems, monkey problems, now dog problems. I appreciate the chance to learn about foreign wildlife, but I think there's safer ways to go about introducing the general populace.

[He slings a gun... sword... gunsword? swordgun? over his shoulder with his free hand, giving a warm smile.]

Anyway, now is as good a time as any. If anyone needs help with anything, just come to me with it. Doesn't need to be exterminating services or dowsing for water, but I don't have anything better to do and I'd rather make myself useful. In the meantime, I'm going to be getting rid of all these pests before they hurt someone. Come say hi if you see me around.

[The video flips on to show a Japanese male in his early twenties, though he doesn't seem to realize the video is on at first, continuing to tap at a few more things on the omni-tool before noticing the video is on. He lifts his arm, then lowers it, tilting his head at the recording before poking it again. Clearly, he's not used to working with this sort of technology. Computers aren't really his thing.

After a minute of moving his arm -- and the recording -- around in a dizzying manner, he finally stops it in front of himself again. Anyone watching would recognize his current location as the Landing Zone for new arrivals, where he's standing in the center of the area, not seeming bothered by being in people's way.]

You'd think they could make this a little more user-friendly...

[There's quiet noises in the background as he sifts through his possessions, the camera moving again as he puts his hands together, then drops the camera angle once more. A bright flash of light follows, with a false-sounding voice reciting 'Garuda, Please.' If something is happening, it's out of view of the camera, but when it balances again, there's a small, mechanical red bird flapping his wings near the young man's shoulder. When the man speaks, it's directed to the bird.]

Take a look around for me.

[Only then does he turn back to the recording, still not understanding its full purpose, and turns it off.]

(OOC: Anyone nearby who happened to be watching would have seen Haruto touching a ring to his belt -- using the hand his omni-tool is on -- and then seemingly summoning the bird from nowhere. Hiding his abilities has never been a thing for him.)
