[ Sark’s feed is set to sweep low across the ground as he walks, and just as a pyjak skitters across his path, he stops only to kick it out of the way with the side of his shoe. And while he’s not about to show his face on the network, he’ll willingly speak on it. ]
Has anyone begun to wonder exactly why we’ve accrued our very own infestation of these things? [ He tilts the camera just enough to show it once more, the little beast already moving closer again. ] Is this normal around here, or are we simply lucky enough to be forced to enjoy their company? Though really, the coincidence of this along with the problems facing the water supply-- my mistake, the absolute lack of one, I can’t help but think it’s not out of place to think one perhaps caused the other.
[ The pyjak darts closer all over again and Sark solidly kicks it away before finally continuing to walk. ] Or if something else has caused them both. Not that anyone would ever do such a thing. [ ... Such sarcasm. ]
Perhaps we should be stopping to consider what might happen next. There’s far more to worry about then simply smelling unpleasant or having one of these settle down to watch you eat your lunch. And if you think this won’t lead to something else, I imagine you aren’t looking hard enough.
