[You probably hear this extranet post way before you see it if you're anywhere near Naruto's position. The video feed pops up, and the view is enough to make you seasick since Naruto is flailing his omni-tool around. There's a few flashes of the blond before he points the omni-tool at a hanar nearby. Then you hear Naruto's voice.]

WHAT IS THAT?

HOW DOES THIS OCTOPUS GUY TALK TO ME WITHOUT A MOUTH?

WHY ISN'T HE IN WATER?

IS HE EVEN A HE?

[The hanar approaches, speaking in that hanar-y way: This one would be happy to help you become accustomed to your new surroundings.]

[Naruto is having none of that. There may be a totally manly shriek as the view goes all "Blair Witch Project" and Naruto takes off down the hall before the feed is cut.]

Okay. But she can understand his freaking out. Really. She doesn't blame him. When she had first seen aliens her reaction wasn't much different. There was just...a lot more internally screaming as opposed to those manly shrieks that practically echo all over Omega. She can swear she hears it even from their shared room down in the Zeta District.

She better deal with damage control. It's almost funny though, in a way. Naruto took on some of their world's most dangerous figures without batting an eye and this-- harmless blob is scary enough to send him running.]

good grief.] It's a hanar. Their planet is pretty much nothing but ocean but there are a few of them that have chosen to venture away from it.

They use levitation packs that rely on mass effect fields to let them stay upright in our gravity.

And it's the general consensus that they're asexual, but no one really knows for sure.
