As if the place didn't smell bad enough already without fresh water.

[Yo, Omega. Have Commander Shepard, the one with a Y chromosome, holding a pyjak firmly by the tail. The little bastard squirms and flails, but Shepard just keeps on holding it tightly.]

Aria, if you're listening, your rock has really gone downhill lately. [So understated in the most deadpan voice ever.]

Pretty soon we'll all be drinking our own recycled waste and bunking with pyjaks.

[And then he just tosses the creature off-screen. There's a loud noise as the poor devil probably lands amidst some crates and scurries off. Shepard switches his omni-tool to a private channel, so unless you're one of the Normanderps, you're not really going to see anything but static.]

I need a head count and a status update. Also, if anybody's had any luck on finding a shuttle out of here, drinks are on me.

[Well I mean technically it's the Mordincave]

[Shep walks into the main room of the clinic, his weapons on his back. He glances around, looking for Kirrahe. Spotting the froggy, he motions towards a room off to the side with a nod before heading into it.

Can't let the patients see them taking weapon inventory.]

[And Kirrahe follows, his own rather limited, outdated arsenal in tow. Ah well.]

Looks like we're a little under-armed right now.

[First comes his little Shuriken SMG which he checks and lays on a table. Then his N7 Piranha shotgun, his special baby. Finally, he takes the Avenger off his back which he actually got on Omega.]

So it would seem. It's better than nothing, but it really isn't much.

[Kirrahe puts his own weapons on the table; a Hammer sniper rifle and a Striker pistol.]

I haven't seen these models in any of the shops around here.

[Shep eyes them for a moment.]

Looks like you're a little behind the times. Most weapons nowadays use thermal clips.

So I've heard. Three years isn't that long, but it certainly feels like it. None of the shops around here even have parts or upgrades for these.

You might have better use for the Avenger than I do.

[He points to the assault rifle.]

I usually stick to my shotgun.

[WELL Kirrahe will pick it up and start looking it over]

Something automatic would be better in a tight spot. Might be a little bulky, though. The sniper's heavy enough.

[He nods. He likes talking weapons. Weapons are cool. He might get boners about weapons even.

Shep picks up his SMG.]

Maybe the Shuriken? Six-round burst and as light as a pistol.

Kirrahe sets the assault rifle back on the table]

That might be a better choice. How's the recoil?

[he hands over the SMG.]

Manageable. If you can handle the sniper rifle, the SMG won't be an issue. Burst makes it more accurate than a fully automatic weapon.

I like the sound of that.

[He will take this SMG and check it the fuck OUT]

The pistol did well enough as a close range back up, but this would be better for cover fire.

[a nod.]

It'll do for now. We don't exactly have much of a selection.

No, we don't. I've been trying to save up credits for better weapons, but doing this legit it may take a while.

No surprise there. Not like we're used to catching a break anyways.

Isn't that the truth. As far as acquiring new equipment goes, I'd say we have a few options.

I'm always open to suggestions.

[all good commanders are, yo. that's what makes them good commanders.]

We could do it the honest way, take a few months to save credits, pool our resources and purchase the equipment we need. It's potentially the safest way to go about it, but it's also the most time consuming. Given the nature of this place, I'd prefer to be prepared sooner rather than later.

Option two, intercept merchant shipments. There won't be any more imports from off station, the shops will have limited supplies. This option would be tricky mostly because it would rely heavily on those with infiltration skills, and I don't know any infiltrators besides myself here. I don't like the idea of stealing from merchants, but seeing as it's a case of us acquiring weapons over the mercenaries, it's something I'd be willing to do.

Option three would be to locate and raid mercenary weapon caches. Obviously not safe, we'd likely become targets if they find out who we are, but it's a chance to knock them down a few pegs.

[Yes, Shepard likes those second two options. He nods as he listens and folds his arms over his chest as he thinks for a moment.]

Let me handle option three. I can get a team together. As for option two, I know a certain thief that might be able to help you out on that.

[Oh good because as much of a boyscout as kirrahe is, the idea of working shitty jobs for a few months is not appealing]

A thief? That would be ideal, actually.

[yeah and Shepard isn't a boyscout at all, so there's no moral quandary here.]
