[ Hey what's up Omega, York is in the house. The last week and a half has been a bit of a rough adjustment, but hey, it's still better than living under the tyrannical reign of an unstable AI. Besides, York is good at adapting. She's pretty sure she would've gone crazy by now if she weren't. ]

Good morning, Omega. How's life treatin' all of you poor suckers? Hopefully you're, y'know, not dead by now.

[ She's relaxed, flippant as always, but seriously. Somebody has to have died by now. ]

For those of you I haven't met, you can call me York. I'm sure you've all shacked up someplace by now -- and if you haven't, I'd get on that, 'cause I hear the streets aren't the coziest place to hole up for the night. Anyway, in case you haven't noticed by now, this isn't exactly the friendliest place. Lockin' your doors at night might not be enough to keep you and all your stuff safe. Dunno if you noticed, but the basic security on these places is a little flimsy.

But hey, security is kinda what I do. And if you're lookin' to sleep a little easier at night, I can probably help you out. Y'know, beef up your security a little, set up a system that any enterprising fifteen-year-old with an omni-tool can't break. Can't exactly do it for free, but if you're a little short on credits, I'm sure we can work somethin' out.

[ The post gets her attention mainly because of the term security, and Lisbeth lingers for a while before giving York a response. Back home, she worked for Milton Security, and though she was never a distinct part of the team, they specialized in home security systems. To see someone else do the same is a painstaking reminder of that -- not that Lisbeth would ever concede it to anyone around her. ]

Are home security systems the only kind you're familiar with? [ Because she may or may not need one; computer security Lisbeth can handle, but this, especially with what she intends on doing, is necessary. ]

[ She rolls her eyes at the mention of 'sweetheart'. Nothing to retaliate again, just that Lisbeth never took kindly to the terms, when she was anything but sweet. ]

[ She's spent a good chunk of her time since she got here learning about the tech, though thankfully figuring it out wasn't too much of a leap from what she already knows. ]

But she's definitely not interested in getting caught doing something like that here. Somehow she thinks she'd get a little more than a slap on the wrist. ]

She scoffs a little though, letting out a snort. ]

Look, if you really wanna talk about activities of the extremely illegal variety, you probably wanna use an encryption that I couldn't break in my sleep. Why don't you meet me over here? I'll send you the location.

[ OKAY SO MAYBE SHE'S REALLY THINKING ABOUT DOING ILLEGAL THINGS it's been so long since she got up to that kind of mischief and she can't say she's not really tempted. Joker you bring out the worst best in her. ]

[ You are so not easy to please, Garrus. Good thing York's not too fussed either way.

She shrugs, nodding in a vague gesture to the mostly bare apartment around her. ]

We're all right. Me'n my buddy Wash, I mean. He's, uh -- he's from back home. Uh -- sorta. Same place, different timeline. We were on Sacrosanct together.

We've got ourselves set up, and the place is secure, but it could use a little redecoration. Hopin' I can make a little extra cash, get ourselves a few upgrades, you know?

[ Because she's been eyeing that sleek armor you guys all wear around here, and she is so ready to trade her bulky armor in for something a little more streamlined. Not that it doesn't have its uses -- she can pack a hell of a punch -- but it's not the best thing for infiltration work, either. ]

[ York had met a couple of versions of her on Sacrosanct, but -- well, it still catches her off guard all the same. Things had gone to shit in her timeline, and Carolina had long since stopped really talking to her at all, and York still doesn't know how things turned out in the end, but a big part of her is still relieved, because it's Carolina. Besides which, everybody's York is always a man, and sure, she'd introduced herself, but she's surprised the first question isn't "what the fuck why are you a lady". ]

-even more so when she gets that reaction. she was pretty damn surprised herself when north told her that the york here was female but she doesn't want to go over that detail on the network. they can cross that ground when they finally meet up.
