[A week with no answers as to the circumstances of their arrival. Irritating. Luckily, he had some credits on him. He's not as well off as he would be if he could access all of his savings but there had been some money in his pockets. It puts him ahead of most of the new arrivals.
It also gives him a starting point. Mordin has been on Omega before. He's worked and lived here before. He knows the ins and outs of business here. He also still has contacts here--easily convinced that he is, in fact, still alive. No one pulls off Mordin, quite like Mordin.
The room behind him is neat and well-lit. The rooms beyond look like a terrible mess but there are one or two aliens scurrying about behind him that seem to be attempting to sort it out. Anyway, hello Omega, have an alien on your screen.]
Greetings. Professor Mordin Solus. Previously spent time on Omega. Successful salarian scientist and medical professional. Attack on Omega left shortage of facilities. New arrivals place strain on system in place. Wish to help in any way possible.
[He paces--Mordin is one of those people that always have to be in motion.]
Called in number of favors. Procured equipment necessary. Have reopened clinic in Gozu District. Hope to avert patient overcrowding during potential calamity. Location attached. Number of credits irrevelant. Will not turn patient in need away. Able to work out alternate method of payment.

video;
Correct. Building remains, if equipment does not. Easily remedied.
[His head tips--he's interested. He can't run the place himself. He's not going to be too picky. Mordin needs more than just nurses.]
Request list of credentials.
Re: video;
Credentials? [She doubts word of mouth was going to prove anything but she didn't have any papers or a certificate like Sakura had when she had gotten her pilot's license. They didn't need that sort of thing in Konoha and certainly not on Thor when she was just a nurse working in placement of those crazy missions they had every month.]
I don't have something like that. But look, trust me! It would be easier if I could just show you what I can do!
video;
Was not referring to license. List of experience and abilities will be satisfactory.
[If she sounds like she knows what she's talking about Mordin is more than willing to let her help out. He just doesn't want someone around that doesn't sound like they have any experience.]
Welcome to come to clinic in order to demonstrate abilities. Will be available for rest of day.
Re: video --> action??
She nods once, already starting to head towards the clinic.]
Okay. Gozu district, I'll be there as soon as I can.
[And off she goes!]
Video-->Action!
[Her skills, once he sees them, will be incredibly useful. The question will be whether they are usable on alien species or limited to humans. Regardless, he'll be more than willing to work with her.
The building the clinic is in has definitely seen better days. There are a few people working on the exterior and she'll be shoo'd inside by one of them, pointing her towards the back right room where Mordin will be muttering to himself over a computer.
She'll find he's quite a bit taller than he appears on screen--nearly 6' 7". Oh and he has three fingers too, besides missing a cranial horn and being orange.]
Re: Video-->Action!
And there he is. She's used to aliens but hasn't really taken the time to really talk to many. Most of them just wanted tons of paperwork done or she'd pass them by in the halls of the space station. She will treat him like anyone else though, there's no room for preconceptions or judgements.
And boy, is he tall. Ino is only a mere 5'2", if that. He towers over her like...a towering thing.]
Professor? Professor Mordin Solus?
Action!
He's at his computer when she comes in and he doesn't immediately look up.]
Welcome to clinic. Describe malady. [Now he looks up and he shakes his head.] Ignore previous statement. Expecting you. Wish to apply for assistant position?
Re: Action!
She steps closer to him slowly, looking around at what equipment he has set up already. It's nothing really similar to what she knows but she DOES know that accustoming herself is inevitable.
Once she's closer, she nods.]
Yes, my name is Ino Yamanaka and I'm a medical ninja from my world. You said you wanted a list of my experience and abilities, right? But I still think showing you will be a lot easier.
[How to go about it was the challenge. She needed an injury and it looked like the both of them were as fit as a fiddle.]
Perma action!
Have never heard of a 'ninja'. Will have to provide further information. Will find volunteer to display abilities.
[He isn't hurt either, no. Never fear though, he summons a patient from the waiting room with a bleeding slash along the arm. Not life-threatening, probably only needs some medi-gel and stitches but he'll see what she can do first.]
Request explanations along with visual cues.
forevaaaaa~~
Ino turns to look at the patient and at this distance, she already works on diagnosing the problem. a simple gash, easy enough. but he was going to hear the explanation too. would he tell anyone? would mordin? no matter how diverse the characters on this ship, she knows that her healing jutsu was rare. not many people could even do it in her own world! it would be exceptionally rare here. a skill with no need for anything but her own power. a power she alone had on this station.
it's like inviting trouble if she exposed it but...she wants to help people. she wants to use her power for good! as cliche as that sounded. and she was tired of rebuilding too, there's that.
she guides the patient to sit down and then gets to work, pulling out a salve to disinfect and clean up before actually showing Mordin how she heals people. palms straight out and facing the arm, an orb of light surrounds the injury and Ino's hands with a strange sound.
as it heals, new skin starts to form where the cut was. no stitches are required here. Ino notes that it is just the gash. not only does the jutsu repair, but she's able to tell where and how bad the afflictions are. it's a short while before Ino actually speaks and she sounds weary at having to talk at all.]
This is medical ninjutsu. It's how ninja heal our wounded on the battlefield efficiently.
[it's not severe so she's able to speak while she works. usually it would take almost all her concentration to control her chakra. people like Tsunade, Shizune, and Sakura made this seem like second-nature but Ino works hard. still, she's exceptional among female ninja.
Ino is still intently focused on healing despite talking and a drop of sweat slides down her face the closer she gets to finishing up.]
I'm able to speed up the body's natural healing process. My chakra has to match how bad the injury is though. If it's too much, I could hurt the patient even more. And if there isn't enough, nothing happens. [here, a strained smile] Luckily, you're not a medical ninja if you don't have expert control on your chakra.
[he's all healed by now, no scar, nothing but unmarred skin so she pulls back to survey her work, the orb of chakra fading away.]
It works on internal and external injuries.
[a sigh] All finished.
