Secondary Analysis | Video | Open
Appears difficulties have currently subsided. Wished to remind any with lingering injuries of presence of clinic in Gozu district. Suggest prompt visit for varren bites. Carry number of diseases. Large number disfiguring and painful. Also attaching pamphlet for dehydration symptoms. Covers multiple races. Recommend increased intake of water.
[Sometimes, he's so helpful. He just doesn't want to waste time dealing with people who are still dehydrated a week later. Also attached to the video are his credentials as a scientist and physician.]
Reminder for new arrivals. Always welcome applicants to clinic. Number of positions available.
[Pause.]
Aware pyjak meat delicacy in some cultures. Have recently come into number of fully cooked specimens. Will part with them for small number of credits. Population appears to be decreasing in size.
[Where he's gotten the pyjak meat is clearly a mystery. He hasn't been setting them on fire himself or anything. Wherever have you gotten that thought?]
Otherwise, will be here. [He disconnects.]

video; easily hackable privacy setting
stiles has a half-empty pill bottle sitting in his room back at the apartment, which is why he sends a message to this guy after he posts the video. ]
I'm not really sure I'm interested in roasted monkey meat, but you handle people's perscriptions, right?
[Video]
Mordin will answer promptly. He's expecting people to have responses and has set aside time for exactly that.]
Humans have tendency to stick with familiar nutrition sources. Cannot blame you in particular circumstance. Pyjak overly stringy.
[Yes, he's tried it. Ew.]
Prescription would require basic medical check-up. Simply wish to make sure medication right choice. May have more advanced solution.
video;
[ Ew frog dude. ]
I understand, I mean, I can do one, I just can't... [ He winces. ] I mean, I have some credits but not a lot.
I have attention deficit hyperactive disorder, though, so I take Adderall for that. And I'm gonna run out in a couple weeks.
video;
[Yeah, that happens.
Mordin idly waves a hand.]
Will not turn away if unable to pay. Believe medical treatment more important than number of credits earned. Able to work out payment without difficulty.
[He makes a small 'hm' noise.]
Uncertain precise chemical composition of Adderall. Will require research. Not a problem.
video;
you never know. ]
I'd feel a lot better being able to pay you something even if I have to pay it off.
[ Stiles hates owing people money, or well, credits. ]
If you want me to come in for a check up I'll bring the bottle, and you can take a sample or whatever you need.
video;
Will work something out. If willing to pay, will not refuse credits. Cannot ask more than able to pay.
[He does have a business to run here. He's just not terribly concerned by the details.]
Excellent idea. Can do research on own. May find references to negate necessity of sample. No appointment necessary. Simply come to clinic when available.
video -- > action?
I'll come by in an hour or so. Gotta get things in order and all that.
[ His shift starts much later for repair work, so at least there's that. Hopefully it won't take too long.
And a little bit later, he's wandering into the clinic, bottle in his pack and looking for Mordin or someone who can help him. ]
[ACTION]
You're sure that pyjack meat isn't diseased or anything?
[ACTION]
Quite certain. Fully cooked. Incinerate burns hot enough to kill lingering bacteria.
[ACTION]
If you say so. Personally, I don't trust meat from something that could have been scraping around in sewage somewhere.
[ACTION]
Welcome to ignore offer. Did not force pyjak meat upon you.
[Seriously Kirrahe, did he ask you to eat it? No, no he did not.
Re: [ACTION]
[he wants to say something like HAVE FUN WITH ALL THE idk PYJAK PLAGUE VICTIMS but he will refrain]
Just how many of those things did you kill?
[ACTION]
Fair number. Did not keep accurate count. Somewhere near one hundred. Likely over. Were in every corner of clinic. Quite a nuisance.
[ACTION]
You let that many pyjaks get in here? I think you're getting slow in your old age.
[ACTION]
Not in job description. Believe security responsible for keeping vermin out.
[And that means you fellow space frog.]
[ACTION]
[Clearly you should have just tossed a few mouse traps down, doc.]
action → forever (sorry for the long set-up...)
When she sees the offer for work in a medical clinic she assumes that's about as safe as someone can get for trusting the person doing the hiring. It could also mean that they'd have quick access to taking her brain for research and science, but she's not going to think about that.
She's also not going to think about the appearance of the people around her as she moves through the city. She's been here a while and she's still not exactly sure how to do this. She doesn't stare, that's rude, but she's still curious so she steals these sidelong glances - which she realizes might seem even worse so she just goes forward.
This - this medical clinic - might give her what she needs. A job and the chance to learn. That is if they're okay with hiring a seventeen year old. She's not going to think negatively, though, and instead she just continues to the clinic.
When she gets there, she glances around looking for someone - maybe the person from that network post.]
Hello?
[Action] Lol no worries!
He glances her direction and then straightens, almost seven feet of salarian towering over her. Mordin frowns thoughtfully.]
Do not appear injured. Eyes clear. Complexion normal. Do not seem to be running temperature. Assume visit to clinic for reason other than medical purposes?
no subject
I'm healthy. I was here because you mentioned employment.
no subject
Mordin brightens up a little at that.]
Excellent. Shall conduct interview promptly. Please follow me.
[He gestures towards the back and he won't waste any time.]
no subject
Conducting an interview seems rushing it, but she's trying not to question it. Trying not to be really curious about what sort of alien he is. If it is a he...]
Okay. I'll... follow. [She does.]
no subject
He steps into the room first and gestures her in. This is an office of sorts. The bed in the corner is for when he needs sleep which is almost never. He has an apartment but who goes there.]
Mordin Solus. Salarian scientist and medical professional. Pleasure to make acquaintance. [He offers a hand and scrutinizes her at the same time. He's a little weird. Don't mind him.]
no subject
Lydia Martin. Earth... human and future Fields Medal winner. [It sounds good to her at least.]
It's nice to meet you, too. Are you... are you from here? From this planet?

[She's a little unbelieving, but mostly just amused. She finds that funny, okay.]

[And then, she backs the conversation up some.] So does that make that Tochanka place better or worse than here?
no subject
[Mordin nods and she'll find herself with a attachment. Within it, is a terribly boring and lengthy dissertation about the planet. Guess who wrote it?]
Tuchanka worse than Omega. Krogan caused nuclear winter. Result death of majority of plant life. Increase in radioactivity. Krogan forced into underground bunkers to survive. Entire planet covered in feuding clans. Incredibly dangerous.
no subject
She opens it out of curiosity, to glance at it, but good God that is long. So... she closes it again after a few seconds. Maybe she'll uh, look at it later.
If she remembers]Well that sounds like a great time. No wonder they all look so tough...
[video; Private]
[Oh hey it's that guy that came with the pink glowing juice once.]
I've been meaning to speak with you.
[video; Private]
[Yes, he remembers. Salarians have almost perfect memory.]
How can I help?
[video; Private]
[He has a computer brain so it's natural to assume he'd come to this conclusion. <3 <3 <3 math & probability.]
If you have any open positions I can assist you with, I believe there is a way we can work out payment so it is less strenuous on your resources in a similar crisis.
private [text]
Are there any that involve maintaining technical equipment, computer work, or lab assistance?
[Text for now, Starscream's already gotten less than ideal reactions to his mechanical appearance. Those three seemed like the most possible for him, but perhaps the doctor had other options.]
private [voice]
Positions non-specific. Use where needed. Weigh talents and abilities with current needs. Clinic still understaffed. Familiar with current technology?
