Now don’t this reek of something fierce. [Stupid useless Alliance tech, never does make much sense. All he needs is a radio, and instead whatever costumed mascot goes and tells him to use this piece of garbage. Everyone, meet the good captain.] Just for future reference, I ain’t exactly a fan of getting knocked out, thrown on a shuttle, then shoved out the door with no rhyme or reason, no matter how many times it happens. ‘Least most well to do scumbags have the common courtesy of giving a reason to a kidnapping. [Most times that involves a killing with extreme prejudice. Still, it’s a damned courtesy.]

Look, all I need to know are three things: where’s my boat, where’s my crew, and what’s the fastest way of getting off this rock? I ain’t exactly eager to find out where or why I’m here.

Probably still wherever you came from, in response to the first two, and for the third, there's not a way off. A lot of people here are in the same situation as you.

Well then that makes my aversion to the situation increase slightly, but not buying the no way off part. There's plenty of shuttles to take.

I've been here for three weeks and I was taken from the middle of an ongoing war. If anyone here wants to find a way back, it's me, and I would have found it by now.

The shuttles only provide incoming transport. Travel within the Omega Nebula isn't limited, but any quick travel past that point is impossible. If you're from Earth, we're about five thousand light years away. Your only option is to take the long way home.

Assuming you were in the Milky Way, we're in the Omega Nebula. There's your point of reference in relation to whatever your home is. The problem is that you're probably from a universe alternate to this one and everything you want to get back to isn't even here.

What are you going on about?

[Well, this is nothing new. Kengo's always been one to talk in such technical terms that he confuses everyone around him. To him, he can't believe that someone doesn't at least know what the Omega Nebula is, but he's spent a large part of his life learning about space.]

We are currently located on an asteroid in the Omega Nebula. We're on the opposite side of the galactic core from where Earth is. Unless you tell me where you're from and give me landmarks to work with, I can't tell you anything else.

As far as the different universe aspect, none of us here seem to be from the same world. A handful of us are from Earth, but none of us are from the same year or the same country. There's a few hundred years difference between my time and the time other people came from. There's a one hundred and seventy-five year difference between my time and the year it is now.

So either all of us are delusional, we've had our memories messed with, or we ended up in an alternate universe and/or year from what most of us are used to.

Okay for one, more than once don't make it often. It's one hobby I'd rather not intentionally keep. And B, well, exciting's one way putting it.

After the first time I think it counts as a pattern. Anyway, hate to say it, but we're all grounded. Unless you're okay with a little thievery, then there's plenty of soon-to-be previously owned ships at the docks.

If it comes to it, I'll definitely consider it. Not stealin' a man's wings right from underneath him if it ain't necessary. Think any of them are willing to give a ride?

Assuming...you're a captain, of course. Few people refer to a crew or a ship as theirs unless they are a captain.
