[A cursory examination of the omni-tool manually activated an audio feed to the Network. Intriguing. One of the few objects of the situation he was currently thrust in that actually incited a little curiosity. It's integration with his internal systems went rather seamlessly, he was impressed.]
...click!
[And an irritated sounding voice makes itself known on the comm. Huh. It seemed to have a slight synthetic trill to it.]
Someone should inform me of the closest thing that passes for security services on this rock. It is difficult to determine which gang is the least predatory.
[Pleasant guy! Someone should go grab a robo-drink with him.]
If you are technologically inclined, I have an offer that may interest you.
[ooc: He'll be lurking in the marketplace/merchant areas for anyone who wants to action tag. he'll stick out like a sore thumb.]

[More importantly, he'd be able to spot when the other party would arrive - judging by their behavior, anyway. There is a low statistical probability of someone else choosing to pause at his specific coordinates, after all. So when he sees Kengo nearby, he decides to approach, stopping a few feet away to give him a little space.]
I am to assume you are the technical expert.
no subject
Are you human inside there, or are you an AI?
no subject
[Whoops. Right. Time for that introduction.]
I'm an autonomous robotic organism.
[A synthetic being. Probably one that's looking for a doctor, in essence.]
My name is Prowl.
no subject
[Nope. Just last name. He doesn't like people calling him by his first name. Also, the science-y talk doesn't faze him at all.]
Is there someone you're usually acquainted with that didn't come with you?
[It's the nice way of asking where your creator is.]
no subject
No.
[Let's get back to business before topic of discussion goes any further.]
I assume you brought your device.
no subject
I want to know what you're after before I show you anything.
no subject
[He'll be straightforward with them.]
I don't forsee any Cybertronian doctors making a pit stop in this scrapyard anytime soon.

[Opening the case, Kengo balances it in his arms while bringing up the schematics for Power Dizer. He holds it up to show the other, but will refuse any attempts the other might make to take it from him. He's extremely protective of the case, which also has twelve smaller devices kept inside of it.]
Three different operating modes, primarily used as a battle suit piloted by a human. I was the first one to pilot it. My father designed and built the suit, but I was the one who completed it and has been performing maintenance and repairs on it for the last year and a half.

A triple changer.
[A rudimentary-looking one, but one nonetheless. It's operated on different technology than the t-cogs and sparks of Cybertronians, but his technology level seemed high enough to consider him an option. At least for some of the systems in his body. He stands up straight again.]
I have two options to compensate you for your services, Utahoshi. The first being credits, and the second being security. I was a member of the police force on my home planet. If you need to be escorted or guarded and aren't in the mood to put up with the thugs on this station, I can provide this service in return.
no subject
[Of course, he says that, but when the monsters attacked the previous weekend, he was the one spamming alert messages and updates to everyone...]
Cover the necessary expenses for the work you need done. If you supply the materials and make sure I have the necessary equipment to provide maintenance, I won't require payment.
[Kengo hesitates for a few moments before continuing.]
I have an alternative. Last week, creatures called adjutants attacked the station. A number of civilians were killed. I have a handful of individuals who gave me their names and information during the attack. I would send coordinates to these people when I received distress calls or noticed a surge in enemy numbers near the safe zone. In addition to what I already offered, that's the only other thing I would ask for. Protection for others -- not for me.

[At the suggestion, there might be a slightly noticeable change in his expression. Did it soften a bit? Maybe. He was expecting a lot of things to be tossed into the equation, a selfless request like that was not one of them.]
That can be arranged.
[A hand contemplatively goes up to his chin as he calculated the different possible outcomes of this arrangement. He was starting to like this Utahoshi character a little more, but wanted to be clear on the specifics of their agreement.]
If I am severely damaged I may not be in the condition to get supplies for you.
no subject
[That somewhat snarky attitude is more like Kengo's default personality. Under usual circumstances, he wouldn't admit to being so kind or selfless, but events just before his arrival have made him more helpful towards certain people.]
no subject
[Not that there's anything wrong with that. Kengo had won some major Prowl Points for the kindness gesture, but the 'bot was still going to be pragmatic about this. Protecting others? He probably would have been driven to do that on his own. Otherwise, he might have contested to being suckered into doing both options when he initially offered one or the other.]
I can supply you in advance when I purchase the parts. I trust they will be safe with you.
no subject
[Now he's a bit more snarky. What, was the other expecting him to shoulder the cost? He barely had enough money to feed himself, let alone fund his research. Kengo wouldn't have offered the security aspect if the other hadn't seemed like such a helpful type. Getting together a group of individuals willing to defend the weak was high on his priority list after the events of the previous week.]
That's fine. I can keep them in my apartment.
no subject
Please. I would have refused already if it made me uncomfortable.
[The clarification was helpful, admittedly. His energy needs were rather... steep. Especially in a place lacking natural energon. He just needed to know what the exact costs were going to be.]
This arrangement is sufficient. I will contact you if there's any further developments.
no subject
[Kengo's already closing his case, checking his omni-tool for more messages. The previous week's events have put him on edge enough that he's constantly checking the system for updates.]
no subject
[....Whoops, awkward pause.]
For the supplies.
no subject
[Obviously not fazed, tapping a few more things on his omni-tool to send a note to the other with the coordinates on it as well as the apartment number/letter for quick reference.]
My roommate is a Quarian. Human-like in appearance, wearing a grey suit and a helmet. He's trustworthy enough if he's there and I'm not, but ping me beforehand and I'll do my best to be available when you stop by.
sapient robot alone with a quarian roommate sounds like a fantastic idea
hey kengo doesn't know any better right now
