[A cursory examination of the omni-tool manually activated an audio feed to the Network. Intriguing. One of the few objects of the situation he was currently thrust in that actually incited a little curiosity. It's integration with his internal systems went rather seamlessly, he was impressed.]

[And an irritated sounding voice makes itself known on the comm. Huh. It seemed to have a slight synthetic trill to it.]

Someone should inform me of the closest thing that passes for security services on this rock. It is difficult to determine which gang is the least predatory.

[Pleasant guy! Someone should go grab a robo-drink with him.]

[ Marco has his omni-tool open while he walks, flicking through a map as he tries to figure out the quickest way across the district. At the same time that Prowl is recording the message, he cruises right pass. The new addition to Omega might have been a big, interesting blotch in his peripheral vision, but after a couple of weeks here, he knew to give strange things a wide berth when possible.

Except he overhears the message being recorded and then sees it pop up on the extranet a moment later. Hm. ]

You pretty much want to find the most predatory gang and call that security.

[ He keeps his distance by at least a few Prowl-size steps away as he calls out, but who was he kidding, the guy has missiles poking over his shoulders. However, Marco is a teenage boy who has played too many video games and thus guys with big guns are still kind of cool. So long as they're not shooting at him. ]

Then there's going to be a problem.

[The omni tool flickers off at the sound of a nearby voice. It doesn't take long to zero in on the source of the sound...]

[Oh. It's a human boy. Approximately three meters away.]

[His facial features seem to harden a little, though not from what he said. Having to wander in this whole anarchic ruin of a space station has put Prowl in a sour mood. Seeing Marco running around on his own did not help his opinion of the place, an opinion which was already hovering somewhere near the bottom of a fiery pit.]

Why are you alone?

What sort of an offer would that be?

I mean, in case you haven't noticed, this place is like, totally run in survival of the fittest style.

[ He's standing with his hands in his pockets, head tilted way back to hold eye contact with Prowl. At this rate, he's going to have a pretty sore neck. ]

Alone? Man, that's a pretty personal question. I guess I've never been the most popular kid around, but I do have friends, I promise! They're just kinda far away right now.

[ The expression on his face isn't pure bored troublemaking youth; there's an analytical coldness behind the smarmy grin. Marco's inspecting Prowl. Sizing him up. ]

How skilled are you with machines?

Highly proficient. Robotics are kind of my main deal, though.
A master of mechanisms, an adept of androids, all that jazz.

[Oh. You're a kid with sass. That just makes this all the better!]

[Still, Prowl isn't feeling particularly threatened by this conversation, so Marco is free to analyze. He'd just arrived, the only thing he'd brought with him were a pair of black tonfa-like batons magnetically locked to his legs (an impromptu solution, they would have been built in otherwise).He also had what looked to be car tires tucked away into each ankle joint.]

You live here on your own. What else do you know of this place?

[Master of mechanisms? Really? ... Well. It seemed like a match.]

I'm looking for a more long-term service. We should meet in person before I give you the details.

And I don't know if you've looked around but reliable resources in this shithole prove hard to come by.
Hence my interest in what you have to offer.
Got some blueprints though, if they would interest you.

[Though he's a little suspicious as to how you're going to do your work if you haven't been able to physically create anything.]

I'm looking for long-term maintenance on mechanical systems. They are not native to this star system, hence the need for a certain degree of technical expertise.

I'm from Earth in the year 2011. Is that close to what you're looking for?

Blueprints or a physical sample would be more indicative of that.

[Preferably a physical machine of some sort.]

I have a few items with me, but it's more technical than mechanical.

Proficiency in both will be needed.

[That works. Kengo has no issue following the directions, intending to message the other as soon as he gets there. After all, he'd never had a chance to ask the other who he was or what he looked like. Less than five minutes later, Kengo walks into the marketplace and stands off to the side, carrying a black case in his hand while glancing around. He sees to give up quickly, lifting his arm and tapping at his omni-tool again to send the other a message.]

Actually, I'm not even really living by myself. I have a charming band of merry roommates who I would probably call criminal if there were like, actual laws here that anyone can break. But what do I know? I'm just a kid.

[ He shrugs as if this is totally the norm and you better just suck it up and deal with it buddy or else you're going to be one sad dude. ]

[Prowl had made sure to position himself where he was out of the way of the flow of people. From there, he could watch the behavior and different interactions of the various unknown species on this station.]

[More importantly, he'd be able to spot when the other party would arrive - judging by their behavior, anyway. There is a low statistical probability of someone else choosing to pause at his specific coordinates, after all. So when he sees Kengo nearby, he decides to approach, stopping a few feet away to give him a little space.]

I am to assume you are the technical expert.

[At hearing the voice, Kengo lifts his head to look in the direction of the source. There's a short pause while he looks the other over, thinking over all of the possibilities. Well... It doesn't look vastly different from the idea of the Power Dizer. It makes sense at first to assume it's a human driving it, but...]

Are you human inside there, or are you an AI?

[Prowl couldn't really help him with that. As much as he'd deny it, that fact weighed down on his spark. He doesn't have any money or a place to live. Not yet, anyway. Cesspools like these tend to put a high value on his particular skillset, and he intends to put those to good use.]
