[ Sark’s feed is set to sweep low across the ground as he walks, and just as a pyjak skitters across his path, he stops only to kick it out of the way with the side of his shoe. And while he’s not about to show his face on the network, he’ll willingly speak on it. ]

Has anyone begun to wonder exactly why we’ve accrued our very own infestation of these things? [ He tilts the camera just enough to show it once more, the little beast already moving closer again. ] Is this normal around here, or are we simply lucky enough to be forced to enjoy their company? Though really, the coincidence of this along with the problems facing the water supply-- my mistake, the absolute lack of one, I can’t help but think it’s not out of place to think one perhaps caused the other.

[ The pyjak darts closer all over again and Sark solidly kicks it away before finally continuing to walk. ] Or if something else has caused them both. Not that anyone would ever do such a thing. [ ... Such sarcasm. ]

Perhaps we should be stopping to consider what might happen next. There’s far more to worry about then simply smelling unpleasant or having one of these settle down to watch you eat your lunch. And if you think this won’t lead to something else, I imagine you aren’t looking hard enough.

[haruto is definitely not a man who has any issue showing his face. he's far too open for his own good, sometimes. say hi to an early-twenties japanese boy with a casual look on his face. it's like this situation isn't bothering him at all.]

What's that thing... Bad things always happen in threes? We're sitting around waiting for the other part to hit. I wouldn't doubt it. It's like watching smoke come up from a volcano and you don't know when it's going to erupt.

[positive attitude or not, haruto's honestly concerned about what might be happening behind the scenes.]

There's a district a ways from here that still has water, but it's pretty hit-or-miss, if you're interested.

[no big deal. haruto's fine with talking to the... ground.]

Oh, those little things? They keep trying to steal my stuff. I don't think I've ever met something that thrives so much on stealing.

I did some reconnaissance and found it. Not sure why it's working, but you're going to have to go quite a ways for it. I'm just waiting for that one to fail too.

[and, hey. since he's being so friendly...]

Do you think something big scared those pyjaks out? They aren't really freaking out, but animals always have a much better sense of danger than humans.

[i'm an exceptionally friendly guy, aside from the times people try to kill my friends, but we don't talk about that.]

Worth making a theory, since nothing's happened yet. Still sort of weird they came out of nowhere. I can't figure out where they came from.

I like how you think. I'm not a tactician, but we should at least prepare ourselves for any imminent threat. Disabling water supplies is usually a precursor to an ambush; it makes one careless and rash, an easy target for a surprise attack.

There's a chance. The monkeys are a pest; I don't know if they are a related occurrence or just an irritating side-effect. But they don't matter. Unless the water gets fixed soon, I'm going to suspect this is an act of sabotage.

But until we can find more evidence, we're just stuck with nothing more than insubstantial theories. A plague on this situation!

A bad choice of words, but the sentiment on how I feel about this mess remains.

As much as I dislike dealing with mercenaries, the Talons have offered to fix the problem. I will be assisting them with repairs. What of you?

Best of luck to you then, and if you do manage to find the fool behind this whole escapade, save some of him for me. I want to personally let him know what I think of his little game.

Who should I call if I find any news that could hasten your search?

They're in poor luck then; there is no such thing as "true justice" in Omega.

I'll keep that in mind. Likewise, if you find him, keep a piece for Xiahou Dun.
