My name is Xiahou Dun. I don't like idle chatter so I'll get straight to the point. I've noticed that there are quite a number of you who don't know how to fight so I'm offering to take on students and teach some basic fighting moves. If you require some proof of my proficiency in the martial arts, I would be more than willing to show you what I can do.

I ask for no fees. You need only bring dedication and a focused mind. Just don't waste my time.

[Once Kirrahe reaches the bar, he locates Dun quickly enough and makes his way over. he casually slides into the seat across from the human and greets him with a nod]

I apologize if I kept you waiting long. I'm still in the process of familiarizing myself with this area.

[Dun stands up when Kirahhe arrives. Giving the salarian a salute once again, he gestures to the chair and invites him to sit. If he was back home, he'd even bust out the tea for the occasion. After all, this is a work proposition, one that might be potentially dangerous. The least he can do he be polite when he's making his offer. He waves off Kirahhe's apology as well.]

No apology needed; this meeting was called on such short notice. I thank you for making your way here so quickly.

[He is being extremely polite, by Dun's standards at any rate. His normal brusque approach to dealing with people can't really be applied in a situation where you're pitching a deal to someone.]

I don't believe in small talk, so I'll cut to the chase. I would like to start a District guard, and it would be a great honour for me to count you among the ranks. The guard would serve to defend residents of the Zetta District from threats, such as the one carried about by the blue monsters a few weeks ago.

[Kirrahe hadn't been around for the adjutant attack, but he'd managed to gather plenty of intel on it. From what he'd heard about it, an organized defense unit would have been a huge asset.]

I'd certainly be honored to be a part of it. The mercenaries are unreliable and we have far too many noncombatants. If we don't protect our own, I doubt anyone else would go out of their way to do so.

[Well then. Dun grins and orders a second drink for Kirahhe. Lifting his own with two hands, he toasts the salarian and their new partnership, before he knocks back the liquor. It's not the good stuff, but it's decent enough. After he's done, Dun provides his new comrade with more information.]

I know of others that we can trust; I'll get in touch with them and confirm their interest before I arrange meeting. There is much we have to discuss, but I'd say this is a successful first step.

[Oh well thank you, Kirrahe will also toast as soon as his drink arrives]

I have a small number of trustworthy connections of my own that may be interested. I'll ask around and get back to you once I know where they stand.

I don't suppose you know a salarian who goes by the name of Mordin Sollus? He owns a clinic on Omega.

I do, actually. Solus and I had worked together on a number of missions in the past. He's trustworthy, never leaves a job half done. Never really could get him to sit still for briefings, but he makes up for it where it counts.

The doctor was part of your group?

[Colour him surprised.]

I wouldn't have thought him the type. But I agree on his trustworthiness and his medical skills.

[His healing ribs would attest to that.]

Probably the least cooperative part of my group, but part of it nonetheless. Bit of a cloaca, but he straightened up when he needed to. He also has exceptional combat skills, especially for a tech guy.

So he has proficiency in medicine, combat situations, and technology?

Judge not the horse by his saddle.

He would be an excellent addition to the guard, if we could win him.

Winning him isn't the issue. I have no doubt in my mind that he'll be willing to help. It'll be convincing him to leave the clinic every now and then that will be difficult. I can't say that I would blame him, This place isn't exactly known for having an over abundance of medical professionals.

I'll talk to him, see what I can do.

My thanks, Kirrahe. If there are any other individuals that you have in mind, I would be grateful if you spoke to them concerning my proposition. It is a big undertaking and we are going to need numbers to fully cover the Zeta District.

I'll do what I can, and keep you informed if I come up with anything new. At the very least, I do have some connections here.

Speaking of connections, I'd like to speak to you about the other person I've asked to join us. His name is Steve Rogers; you might have seen him around with his fanciful red, blue and white costume. The man dresses like a fool but he is no laughing stock; for one so young he demonstrates a good head on his shoulders when confronted with difficult situations, and he's not that bad in a fight.

[Plus, he's a lot more sociable than Dun is and probably won't scare away all the volunteers.]

If it's alright with you, I'd like to make him the third leader of this watch, alongside with us.

I can't say I've seen anyone like that yet. If he's as good as you say he is, then I'm more than happy to have him on board. I think it would be wise if the three of us met up together.

Very good. I will arrange a meeting between the three of us. It would be good to get to know our allies better. I also have some suggestions for this guard; I've written them down here.

[He passes Kirrahe the details over the omni-tool; it covers the basics of the watch, a list of places in the Zetta district that are highlighted as priority spots, and a few potential candidates. Basically, some of this information.]

It would honour me if you would read it and give me your opinions on how we can better this plan.

[Kirrahe checks his omni-tool to make sure that he's received the information. He gives the information a quick look over.]

Off the top of my head, the only thing I can see as a priority is getting a hold of weapons. Commander Shepard and I are already working on a solution to this, it shouldn't be an issue for long.

A stock of weapons would offer us the advantage we need over any threat, but it would definitely require a lot of careful attention. We should limit distribution to only those that we can fully trust.

We would also need someone to manage distribution and keep them under lock and care.

Agreed, on both counts. We'll also need a reliable place to store them. I don't have too many places in mind at the moment, but I can look into it.
