[So bad things are happening on Omega, he's not really surprised. It's not really the type of place that screams 'good place to hang out'. He realizes on his walk back to the apartment that neither Tony or Bruce really have the means to deal with these particular problems.

Both of them will get a ping but the message is going to be open because he has this thing where he has to check on everyone.]

Is everyone--

[There's a roar and Steve dives to the side, camera rolling with him. There's a 'chink' as his shield is pulled from his back and the huge, glowing blue thing that crashes into view is no joke.

Luckily, neither is Steve. The video is an absolute jumbled mess. Steve is lithe and athletic; he uses it to his advantage to stay out of range. Paired with his shield throwing abilities--and what seems to have the ability to defy the very laws of physics themselves--it's hard work, but he banks the shield off some canisters that go boom and down goes the adjutant.

He warily watches it for a moment before he slings his shield over his shoulder. As he addresses his omni-tool again, he keeps glancing up at it.]

Is everyone doing alright? If you need an escort to a safe zone, let me know. Stark and Dr. Banner, I'd stay in the apartment. The streets aren't safe. I'll be back soon.

Maybe something to keep Tony complacent, but I think that's an adventure once things settle down.

[ Look at him being noble and stuff. ]

I brought him coffee last time. You'd never believe how expensive it is here.

[Yeah good luck with that, break his mind with science or something Bruce. Steve's no good at this.]

You're not his babysitter, Cap.

[ To be honest, neither of them are, but sometimes -- every time in Bruce's case, he'll do what he has to to keep them all sane for his own selfish needs. ]

I'd believe that though. I looked at some of the apartments the other day. If Stark doesn't shape up I'll see if anyone has any need of me.

He can't just sit in his room. I can touch both walls if I stick out my arms.

[They're also dark and disgusting.]

I think he's figuring it out. Hopefully he'll cheer up a little with someone to bounce ideas off.

The better question is, does he have any ideas? Because I'm not quite certain Tony'll be fine with playing a medic.

[ The technology here has a steep learning curve, okay. ]

I couldn't tell you. We aren't... exactly getting along.

[Big fight and all that, isn't that great?]

You'd be better off asking him.

[ So great that the mild disappointment in his face turns into flat out disappointment. He was the one originally calling them a ticking time bomb, and part of him was convinced they'd all be fine here but that's Bruce being delusional again, getting his hopes up. ]

You know, I didn't think I'd be here playing peacemaker.

[ Not that he minds to an extent, but still. ]

[Sorry Bruce and Steve really is sorry but Tony acts like a petulant child. He doesn't know how thr world really works or how it feels to actually work for anything. He has no actual work ethic unless it suits him. He's completely different from Steve.]

He keeps claiming he's better than he appears but I haven't seen it. He's certainly not proving it now.

[He might not have made it to New York yet.]

Might just be a time factor, to be honest, [ Bruce concedes. Everyone’s had trouble adjusting, and while he understands Steve’s issues with Tony, knows full well what it’s like to play the role of a functioning adult, sometimes it’s easier to fake it till you make it. ]

I’ve had moments like those before, [ Still does but that’s not getting admitted. ] sometimes you just gotta do what you can to get by for the next day.

It's possible.

[Don't even talk to Steve about having to adjust to things. Once he'd finally started to settle into the twenty-first century and now he's here, almost two hundred years later.]

I"m trying to be patient. I know the life he's used to and this definitely isn't it. He's just frustrating. His attitude towards me isn't helping.

What's going on between the two of you?

[ Like, really. There's hints here and there, and he gets it, but besides Tony being his usual self, Bruce probes for the sole reason of trying to figure out the guy's mentality. ]

It can't just be the idea of settling in, is it?

[Steve sighs, he really doesn't want to get into all of this. He'll go for the simple version.]

We have a different definition of 'hero'. He uses it as tool to help himself and that's so far from what it should mean.

[You know, same old same old. Argument on the Helicarrier and all.]

It's disgraceful.

[ He shrugs at the explanation, because it's not his place to say who's a hero and who isn't, not when Bruce does his best to sincerely avoid playing the hero in the first place. That position's reserved for men like Steve and Tony, who he'd begrudgingly admit actually deserves it to an extent. ]

What's the last thing you remember, Cap? [ Out of curiosity and all; he remembers that Tony didn't recall taking down Loki, which meant this was something to be addressed as well. ]

[Steve only judges Tony because he calls himself a hero and so far, his actions don't match his words. Also better to turn to humility in any case, rather than to flaunt it.]

Tony figured out that Loki took the Tesseract to New York. I was leaving the Helicarrier with Romanoff and Barton.

[ He'd never quite get over how difficult it felt, with Tony remembering a certain amount of stuff, and Steve remembering more. Bruce of course, remembered everything, the only reason he'd be inclined to prove to Steve that Tony was in fact, a decent of a hero as he came, even if his personality failed to match up more often than not. ]

I'd hate to spoil things, but you'll find Tony's a good guy in the end. [ Bruce adds with a wry smile. Tossing a nuclear bomb at the Chitauri certainly counted in his books. ]

[He's not really used to any of it either. At least he and Tony are on the same page in the dislike department.]

You're from further along? [Steve leans forward towards the camera a little. He still looks skeptical too.] I don't know about that. I'm trying to give him a chance but it's not easy.

Yeah, [ Bruce nods in agreement. ] It's weird, I know. [ The fact that neither of them remember anything is off putting to him, reminding Bruce just how set apart he is from everyone else. Part of it is deliberate on his part, part of it isn't, but he can't help but feel at fault regardless. ]

Look -- once things settle down, [ Presumptuous as this is from him. ] we'll figure out a way around here.

I think I'm even ahead of him. Not by much, but a lot happened in a short span of time.

[Sorry Bruce, Steve would love to know what you do about what's going to happen but he just can't help it.

He nods in agreement. No matter what happens--they need to be a team. They need to act like a team.]

Yeah we will. We can't just sit around and do nothing. I'm doing my best to help who I can but there are more criminals than decent people living here.
