There appears to be an inept, directionless investigation on the least fortunate and least powerful of the station.

Unsurprising. But also ineffective.

[The synthetic voice is direct and flat, with little care for affability.]

The shuttles and the relay. But I'll settle on just checking out that debris.

I'm pretty good at recognizing some explosive devices, and I'm a mean hand with the omni-tool now. But I don't know if that'll be any help, here. This tech's a little ahead of me now.

The Omni Tool scanners should be sufficient for what we'll be using them for.

I'll be discussing the details in person at a designated location. Naturally, it would be useful to see who I'll be meeting with before that step.

[ and then he chuckles. ]

What, faces on a screen not good enough for you? Either way, I'll be there.

I'm available. I'd be happy to volunteer my services. The mercenaries don't tend to care unless it's something that directly involves them.

Not at the moment, no, but I can be on stand by to look over any information that is gathered.

I'll be looking for the explosive's manufacturer. Any relevant information you might have beforehand would be useful for the analysis.

I was starting to think no one around here had any sense. I've already tried collecting some people, but if you and I are working towards the same goal, I suppose I can ally myself with you.

Living on the station doesn't leave many with a sense of agency.

Before I came here, I was a mercenary. I'm trying to still be one here.

I imagine you have combat experience as a mercenary, but how familiar are you with the local technology?

[she thinks about it, carefully choosing her words.]

Good enough to get into a fight with a Blue Sun at a bar and come out unscathed.

I won't necessarily be needing a combat focus in an investigation, but I suspect there will be groups on Omega that won't be satisfied with outside intrusion.

[Particularly if they turn up with something incriminating.]

Hey, I'm all for finding out who blew up a shuttle of innocent people. Plus you might need someone that can tell the difference between asari tech and salarian.

If you're going to investigate the shuttle, you should do us all a favor and investigate the relay as well.

[ like she's considering it, as an afterthought, ] There could be evidence there as well.

[He notices that it's brought up offhandedly, but it is nonetheless a logical point. The shuttles come out of the relay, after all. There could be something there.]

Scouring the inside of a relay would be more plausible if anyone had any actual relevant data on them.

[ there's a moments pause, and then a file pops up. download mass_relays? ]

I'm no tech specialist and that's only a basic guide, but it could be of some use to you if you choose to go.

All I can say about the Omega-4 relay is that only the Collectors used to come out of there, but Commander Shepard took care of that.

[The file is accepted - with a few cautionary scans of course. ]

Hm. There's no guarantee we'll find anything of use with just basic information as background, but a scouting run at the relay would be a first step.

Amessa. I've been stuck here for a few months and I'd like to get back home. My options for working on my own are... limited, however.

[ she's an asari huntress. she works behind the scenes, not in front of them. ]

I would be interested in joining your investigation if possible. I have not been on the station long, but I arrived on the shuttle accompanying the one which was destroyed, and would be very interested in determining the source of the explosion.

It might be possible.

How closely have you gotten acquainted with the local technology? You'll need to handle some equipment to investigate the site I plan on visiting.

I must admit I currently have only a rudimentary grasp on some of the technology here, but I do not anticipate it will take me long to learn. I've often been required to study new technology, and have investigated similar incidents in the past. At the very least I should be able to help spot any anomalies.

What is the function of the tools required for the mission? I may have some... equipment of my own which would suffice until I become more familiar with the local technology.
