Gawds! What is with everybody lately?

[seemingly oblivious to the general mood of the place, Severa's decided to lodge a complaint with the network. she looks pretty much the same as usual. maybe a bit grumpier. it seems like she's missed the general message of "keep your head down". or she just doesn't care.]

It's not like we blew up that shuttle! We can't even figure out a way through the relay, never mind how we even got here in the first place. Some of us don't even know what half the words in that last sentence were! So why is everyone pinning the blame on us? Is it just because we're outsiders? Because I don't remember being asked to come to this spinning death rock.

[she makes a sharp noise of disgust.]

This is completely unfair.

No, because I think we'd be smart enough to figure out that people who have never heard of space shuttles before wouldn't know how to blow one up!

Everybody who could've been panicked is already on Thessia, aren't they? It's a mystery ship that exploded. That has to happen all the time around here.

No, but I haven't been here very long. At least, it doesn't feel like it's been very long. Space is weird.

Okay, but nobody knows what was on the shuttle or what happened to it. The unknown's going to freak anybody out.

Then how about we do what normal people do when something unknown happens and band together to solve it? "Figure out what happened" isn't a hard goal!

Well, it's obvious to me that none of us did it, so why don't they stop this... blame game thing already?

You could always start up your own investigation. Get some people you know and trust to help you out.

Psh. Nobody's going to help us even if I did get something like that together. The only people who could are the same people who hate us for no reason or want us to shut up about it.

No, I'm going to keep thinking about it. Just because your idea probably won't work doesn't mean I can't think of something.

And you can call me Severa. [she smiles as a formality before going back to her "thinking".] Now... I just need to find out what can cause explosions in space that isn't magic. Unless it was magic.

I'm not sure magic exists here. I haven't seen any yet anyway.

Oh, right. You call it technology around here, don't you. It's basically magic. Maybe it was some really... really high technology.

No. There's technology and then there's magic. They're not the same thing.

Not to me, anyway.

Duh. How dumb do you think I am? These structures obviously didn't get built by somebody reciting words from a tome.

But at least you know about magic. Do you know any spells that could blow up a spaceship?

Even if I did, I couldn't actually do the spell myself. I'm not a witch.

I'm not a mage either, but at least I know what spells can usually do. So do you think it could have been a magic spell gone awry?
