The deal where you gave him back his house key or what-freaking-ever it was. And it totally like, inspired warm fuzzy feelings in him so -
[ So Derek and his Uncle brutally gutted him and you thought he died, but then he wasn't really dead. ]
And he stopped being so lizard-y. At least in the monstrous sense.
You really don't remember any of that?
